She stood by me, as I grew,

She stood by me, while I grew a beard,
She stood by me, when the future I feared.

She stood by me, when I was undecided,
She stood by me, when by the world I was chided.

She stood by me, when I changed course,
She stood by me, when with fear I froze.

She stood by me, when I had no cash,
She stood by me, when my decisions were rash.

She stood by me, through thick & thin,
She stood by me, urging me to avoid sin.

She stood by me, when the world was becoming cynical,
She stood by me, as things began seeming illogical.

She stood by me strong & confident everyday,
But when she asked me to stand by her, I walked away!
